Introducing Pinner Wood

Pinner Wood Children’s Centre is located in a self contained refurbished part of Pinner Wood School.  The Centre  delivers a range of health, education and parenting support services. The Centre works in close partnership with Pinner Wood Schools Foundation Unit.  Services for older children and their families are supported by strong links with the Pinner Cluster Extended Schools Programme.

Friday 24 April 2009 saw the launch of Pinner Wood Children’s Centre. This was a very successful event and was attended by over one hundred guests including Chip the Bear.

The then Mayor of Harrow Cllr John Nickolay, attended as well as Gareth Thomas MP, Tom Whitling, Harrow’s deputy chief executive and a number of Harrow councillors.

A range of activities were enjoyed by all including face painting, henna art, mosaic tiling and puppet shows.

The Centre was officially launched by Maria Luscombe, Head of Paediatric Therapy, and guests enjoyed a dance performance by pupils from Pinner Wood School.

These are just some of the comments we received from people who attended.

“A lovely environment, very warm and welcoming”, “Excellent and very near, just what the community needs”, and “A lovely setting, welcoming ethos and friendly staff”.
