Family Support
Counselling services
A counselling service is provided for parents and carers with a child under five and pregnant mothers. These counselling sessions provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to talk in confidence about any aspects of your life. There is also access to relate counselling.
Breastfeeding support group
A health visitor leads this session and it gives mothers the opportunity to discuss any concerns and get support on any issues concerns and get support on any issues on breastfeeding.
Outreach Services
This service provides support for parents and carers with children under five. Experienced outreach workers work with parents/carers to achieve better outcomes for children. These sessions can be held at any of Harrow children’s centres or the outreach worker can visit your home.
Social Welfare Worker Service
Harrow children’s centre have access to a social worker who can provide support and advice for families on a range of issues. Sessions can be held at Harrow children’s centres or offered to you in your home.
Parents into employment
This programme is for parents who have a child under sixteen years and wants to return into employment.
Sewing Group
This session is for women of the Irish Travellers Community. It gives them the opportunity to learn sewing whilst their children join the crèche. To close the session, the mothers and children join in together for a story or song.
