Stay and Play session

This session is an opportunity for fathers, mothers and carers to join us for a drop in and stay play session. It is an opportunity for parents and carers to join in activities with their child that support their learning and development. It also gives the opportunity to meet other parents and carers. Homestart Stay and Play Group

Stay and Play Toy Library

This session offers the opportunity for fathers, mothers, carers and their children to stay and play with a range of toys and equipment. Then borrow up to four quality educational toys for a period of time. A small membership fee will apply. Please contact the Children’s Centre for more information.

Carer and Toddler Session

This session is an opportunity for fathers, mothers and  carers to have fun with their child and enjoy a range of activities that support their learning and development. It is also an opportunity to meet other families. Please contact the Children’s Centre for more information.

Parents As First Teachers (PAFT)

Parents As First Teachers is a support programme based on neuroscience. It is available to mothers, fathers and carers of  a child, support can continue until the child is three years old.

There is also a three to five year old programme.

Parents As First Teachers (PAFT) Toddler Group

This group is an eight week programme led by our Parents As First Teacher worker. This session does not run on a “drop in” basis to fully benefit, please commit to every session. The aim of the group is to give fathers, mothers and carers the opportunity to play and explore new activities with their children, which will support their learning and development.  The worker will also give ideas of activities you can do at home to extend your child’s learning.
